Accessibility Statement
Pasadena Clinical Group is committed to ensuring our website and services are accessible to individuals of all abilities. Effective May 1, 2026. Last updated May 1, 2026.
Accessibility Statement Sections
1. Our Commitment
Pasadena Clinical Group is dedicated to ensuring that our digital services and physical office are accessible to people of all abilities. We believe that accessibility is not merely a legal requirement but an ethical imperative — especially for a practice that serves adults with ADHD, many of whom face executive function challenges that can make navigating complex or inaccessible websites particularly difficult. We actively work to maintain an inclusive environment where every individual can access information, schedule appointments, and engage with our services without unnecessary barriers.
2. Legal Framework
Our accessibility efforts are guided by the following legal standards:
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III (42 U.S.C. §§ 12181-12189): Prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in places of public accommodation, including healthcare providers’ websites and physical offices. We interpret Title III to require that our website be accessible to individuals with disabilities and take reasonable steps to meet that obligation.
- California Unruh Civil Rights Act (Civil Code §§ 51-52): California law that provides broader protections than the ADA, prohibiting discrimination by all business establishments in California on the basis of disability, among other protected characteristics. The Unruh Act is interpreted consistently with the ADA and may provide for statutory damages in cases of violation.
- California Government Code § 11135: Prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in programs or activities conducted by or receiving financial assistance from the state, reinforcing the obligation to maintain accessible digital environments.
3. Conformance Target
We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA conformance on all pages of adultadhdgrouptherapy.com. WCAG 2.2 is the current internationally recognized standard for web accessibility, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) in October 2023. Level AA represents the intermediate conformance tier, addressing the most common and impactful barriers for users with disabilities. Our target includes the WCAG 2.2 success criteria covering perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust content principles.
4. Measures Taken to Ensure Accessibility
To achieve and maintain our accessibility goals, we have implemented the following measures:
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements — links, buttons, form controls, and navigation menus — are operable via keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators that meet WCAG contrast requirements.
- ARIA labels and landmarks: We use Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) attributes throughout the site to provide semantic structure and contextual information for assistive technologies, including proper labeling of navigation regions, form elements, and dynamic content areas.
- Color contrast: We maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text against their backgrounds. Our design system uses warm neutrals and accent colors selected to meet these requirements.
- Skip links: A "Skip to main content" link is the first focusable element on every page, allowing keyboard and screen reader users to bypass repetitive navigation.
- Alternative text: All informative images include descriptive alternative text (alt attribute). Decorative images are marked appropriately so they are ignored by assistive technologies.
- Semantic HTML: We use proper heading hierarchies (h1-h4), landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer), and semantic elements to create a logical document outline navigable by screen readers.
- Resizable text: Our site supports browser text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality, using relative units (rem, clamp) for typography sizing.
- Responsive design: Our site adapts to different viewport sizes and device orientations, supporting users who rely on zoom or mobile assistive technologies.
- Form accessibility: All form inputs have associated labels, required fields are clearly indicated, and error messages are programmatically associated with their corresponding fields.
- Consistent navigation: Navigation mechanisms that appear on multiple pages are presented in a consistent relative order throughout the site.
5. Physical Office Accessibility
In addition to digital accessibility, our physical office at 301 N. Lake Ave, STE 600, Pasadena, CA 91101 is located in a building with elevator access, accessible parking, and accessible restroom facilities. We are committed to working with patients who have specific accommodation needs for in-person services. If you require physical accommodations, please contact us in advance of your appointment so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
6. Accessibility Audit
The most recent accessibility audit of this website was conducted in May 2026. The audit utilized a combination of automated testing tools and manual evaluation against WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria. Identified issues were prioritized and addressed. We conduct periodic reviews and engage in continuous monitoring to identify and remediate accessibility barriers as they arise.
7. Ongoing Efforts and Future Improvements
Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time achievement. We are committed to:
- Conducting regular accessibility audits and user testing, including testing with assistive technology users
- Providing accessibility training to our staff and content contributors
- Reviewing all new content and features for accessibility before publication
- Staying current with evolving WCAG standards and legal requirements
- Soliciting and incorporating feedback from users who encounter accessibility barriers
- Publishing an updated accessibility statement following each audit cycle
8. Third-Party Content
While we strive to ensure accessibility across all aspects of our website, some third-party content and services — including embedded maps, social media widgets, and externally hosted platforms such as our patient portal and telehealth provider — may not fully conform to our accessibility standards. We are working with our third-party vendors to encourage accessibility improvements and, where feasible, select vendors with robust accessibility commitments. If you encounter an accessibility barrier with a third-party service accessed through our website, please let us know so that we can advocate on your behalf.
9. Limitation of Liability and Released Parties
Although we work in good faith to make our website and services accessible, we do not guarantee that every page, feature, document, third-party widget, or future content addition will fully conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA at all times. To the fullest extent permitted by law (and without diminishing any non-waivable obligation under the ADA, the Unruh Civil Rights Act, or other applicable law), Pasadena Clinical Group and each of its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, owners, members, managers, partners, officers, directors, shareholders, employees, independent contractors, supervisees, interns, trainees, students, volunteers, agents, attorneys, accountants, insurers, vendors, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to any temporary accessibility barrier, third-party content, embedded widget, or external platform reachable through this website. Each Released Party is an intended third-party beneficiary of this limitation of liability and is entitled to enforce it directly. Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to provide written notice of any alleged accessibility barrier and a reasonable opportunity (no fewer than thirty (30) days) for the Practice to investigate and remediate. Disputes are otherwise subject to the mandatory pre-suit notice, mediation, binding individual arbitration, jury-trial waiver, and class-action waiver set forth in our Terms & Conditions, incorporated by reference.
